RAISING COMFORT TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL

Welcome to Međugorje

Međugorje is a town in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the site of a reported divine manifestation to a 14-year-old shepherd named Vjekoslava Franjić.

The phenomenon has grown to become a popular pilgrimage site for Roman Catholics, Orthodox Christians, and Muslims. Međugorje’s popularity has led to strife between the various groups that have visited the site. However, most pilgrims have exhibited a spirit of tolerance and cooperation.

According to popular belief, the Međugorje phenomenon is a reported apparition of Mary to a pilgrim every morning at 6:00 a.m. Pilgrims from all over the world have reported seeing the Virgin Mary at Međugorje since 1981. Although Mary’s appearances at Međugorje are considered miraculous, there are no specific rules that define what constitutes an apparition.

Despite this, most eyewitnesses agree that Mary’s figure appears as a woman in white with dark hair and olive skin.
